- I came late to the game regarding Eloise. I didn't read much when I was a child and so missed out on a lot. I'm 61 now and found out it is not too late to appreciate Eloise and to introduce her to girls her own age who will feel like they are reading about a friend or maybe themselves. My great niece is getting Eloise this Christmas. The story is enchanting without being sickly sweet. How can it be when Eloise is quite a little brat but a loveable brat. And Hilary Knight's drawings are just the best. He manages to find just the right vantage point to make it interesting. I especially love the end pages for Eloise in Paris with her sprawled out on the floor with her map of Paris and seeing the furniture in the room from a bird's eye view. Enchanting from beginning to end.
- I am so charmed by the drawings of Hillary Knight of our little heroine, Eloise sashaying her way around Paris. Your very first glimpse of the six year old planning her trip, is on the end pages of the book. There you will find Eloise sprawled out on the floor on top of her map of Paris. And the birds eye view of the room is captivating and adds to the excitement. It's so fun seeing Eloise in a typical neighborhood Paris hotel, not like the grand digs of her home in New York City on the top floor of the Plaza Hotel. Knight captures the Paris architecture so well that I have hopes that even my eight year old great niece will be able to tell that Paris is so different from the world she knows, so magical and hopefully this book will spur her imagination to want to visit Paris herself one day. The story is typically and wonderfully mad cap Eloise! A must for every Eloise lover!
- I'm almost 24 and still in love with Eloise. Never having owned any of the books (I just read them in stores) I was ecstatic to get myself this full edition! The middle of the book with several pages of history on Kay and Hilary is great quality and very interesting. I make a bi-annual trip to The Plaza and its Eloise Shop to feel 6 again so I'm thrilled I can have the magic at home )
- Purchased as a gift for a friend. The book is so cute and I think her daughter Eloise will love it!
SHIPPING We received this book 3 times, twice the binding was ripped/damanged. overnighted the third copy and that book had a dust jacket (the previous ones didn't come with it) that was slightly damaged, no visible damage to the binding; we needed to get this gift out to our friends so we decided to kept it. Glad that got involved and made sure we received a decent copy! - The info said 68 pages. I thought it was the multi story edition. Nope. I would not have paid so much for the kindle edition if I had known it was only the one story. On the up side. My daughter and I love Eloise and will hopefully get a lot of use out if this book

- A delightful read for children. The book is far better than the movies that have been made about Eloise. Eloise is a precocious, imaginative 6 yr. old who lives at the Plaza Hotel in New York with her English Nanny. Hilarious!!
- This book was given me by my best friend when I was an adult! It was such fun! Now, I am giving a copy to a little girl named Eloise. I hope to give her one of the books in the series, every Christmas.
